Happy Halloween – Night of the Living Dead

Tonight is Halloween. I’m writing this between knocks on the door for candy. This holiday was supposed to honor the dead that have gone before us but does anyone really die? No. We just change energy forms. Many writers and teachers have talked about the the different bodies that we have and which ones stick around after we are gone. Some that are mentioned are physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, casual, etheric and more. I’m not going to go into each of them because there are better explanations out there than I could ever give. (If I find the book with the realy good explanations I will provide a link here.)

What I do want to talk about is what happens when we die… We just change forms. There have been over 14,000,000 cases of near death experiences and most of the people report very similar experiences. They go through a tunnel of light where they are met by a being of light who is brighter than the sun. The light doesn’t hurt the eyes and as they get closer they begin to feel an overwhelming sense of love and acceptance. People usually see the main figure from their religion waiting for them and they are welcomed with so much love that it is all they can do to experience just some of it. After a conversation of an indeterminate length they are shown by the being that behind them are all the person’s previously living relatives, friends and loved ones. The person now receive another overwhelming blast of love while they talk to everyone and it’s just about this time that when of the loved ones tells the person that they have to go back. There is a sense of anguish because the person has never known this much love and they don’t want to leave.

Once back in their body and healed enough from whatever trauma took them to near death, they begin to realize that they are no longer the same. Some report not being able to be around the same people anymore because they don’t have the same beliefs. Others report that their sense of identity is completely different and they struggle with what to do or be. Others completely change their life and start helping in some way because they say that chasing after money and things no longer has any meaning. No matter what there experience they all say this one thing. They are no longer afraid to die because no one dies!

They shall arise

I was just thinking about how people are changing as the consciousness of the planet changes. It reminded me of a poem I read thirty years ago that had given me hope about where we might have been headed. Right now I think we are indeed headed in that direction. Here is the poem.

Mediums – by Walt Whitman  (1819-1892)

They shall arise in the States,

They shall report Nature, laws, physiology, and happiness,
They shall illustrate Democracy and the kosmos,
They shall be alimentive, amative, perceptive,
They shall be complete women and men, their pose brawny and supple,
their drink water, their blood clean and clear,
They shall fully enjoy materialism and the sight of products, they
shall enjoy the sight of the beef, lumber, bread-stuffs, of
    Chicago the great city.
They shall train themselves to go in public to become orators and
    oratresses,
Strong and sweet shall their tongues be, poems and materials of
poems shall come from their lives, they shall be makers and finders,
Of them and of their works shall emerge divine conveyers, to convey gospels,
Characters, events, retrospections, shall be convey’d in gospels,
trees, animals, waters, shall be convey’d,
Death, the future, the invisible faith, shall all be convey’d.
